Blog Traffic Update

My blog continued to show exponential growth for a while - but the earnings I was getting from it didn't really justify the efforts I was putting in. So I stopped posting for a while to see if it would continue to grow.

I don't know if this is what would normally be expected from a blog that was abandoned with quite a lot of content on it or whether the latest Google algorythm update "Panda" affected my blog. Still it's inspired me to start reposting for now. If the traffic keeps increasing - eventually I will get there.

Blog Traffic Spike.

Yesterday I checked my blog traffic and saw that I had had two of my best days ever. Traffic has almost trebled and stayed this way for a few days now. 

In addition to this, I have now had my first Chinese visitor and have had visitors from over half the countries of the world.

New Blog Traffic

I am really pleased that my blog traffic seems to be growing exponentially week on week. This is also translating into a small increase in advertising revenue - although I am still far from being able to retire on my blog income I probably earn significantly more than a farmer in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Last month I had over 3,500 hits.

I have attached my latest google stats.

My Peter Griffins Quotes page has shown particualar growth and probably accounts for the majority of the traffic increase. As to why this is I am unsure. 

My goal for next month is 6,000 visitors. 

Last Months Traffic - where are the Chinese?

Since resurecting my blog I have seen a significant increase in traffic. From only 10 visitors per month to over 2000. I hope to maintain this growth and get it to a sufficient level that I can one day not have to work any more because of the advertising revenue. Last month I earned £4.04 from the various forms of advertising on this blog. It's not going to set the world on fire as it stands at the moment - but if I can increase that 200 fold (as I have already done once) then life would be a whole lot easier.

I was particularly interested in where my visitors were coming from. I logged into my analytics account and looked at the data. I had received visitors from over 60 countries! Here is that information:
